Animal Crossing Wii Hints/Cheats/Tips

Here are some helpful hints, cheats  and tips for Animal Crossing Wii.

  • Every day, one rock in your town will turn into a money rock ( it  spits out money every time you hit it with a shovel for a couple of seconds) The only catch is that every time you hit it you get knocked back. To solve this, dig two holes like in the picture. Now you should be able to get at least 8,000 bells every day.
  • Talk to Booker ( the  guy at the left of the town gate) and ask him about lost items. Now take every lost item and sell it to Nook for some quick bells. You can also do this with the Recycle Bin in the Town Hall ( it’s stuff people don’t want anymore so don’t feel bad about taking it)
  • Every day after 8pm, one of the traffic cones at right-hand side of the city might have moved. If they have moved you can walk through them to get to, dun dun duuuuum….. Resetti’s house. He gives you a silver shovel which sometimes gives you extra money from the money rocks.
  • You need two shovels to do this. First, bury a normal shovel (not a silver one) for at least 24 hours then dig it up to get the golden shovel. It can plant money trees. Money trees grow, you guessed it, money.  A successfull tree grows three bags of 30,000 bells, a total of 90,000 bells, but only once. Their chances of growing depend on how much you bury, so if you buried about 50,000 you have a 50% chance that the tree will grow. If it grows, you’ll have gotten a 40,000 bell profit, but if it doesn’t work you’ll have lost 50k.
  • If you are looking up at the sky or something, and the clock keeps getting in the way, just hold down the B button to make it dissapear.
  • Deposit 10,000 bells in the ATM thing in the Town Hall or the one beside the Theater in the city, and you will get a shopping card (credit card?) in the mail. You can use it to buy stuff in GracieGrace. It doesn’t work in Tom Nook’s.
  • Deposit 100,000 bells in the ATM to get a box of tissues. Usefull if your character catched a cold… Or mabye not.
  • If you mail a piece of fruit to your neighbours, there is a chance that they might mail you back a fruit that you don’t have. Every type of fruit (except the one you start off with) is worth 500 bells, so once you get a piece start planting loads of them. Also try sending them t-shirts.
  • You can press the – and + buttons on your Wii remote to open your inventory and map.
  • Plug a SD card into your Wii, and then you can press the 1 button on your Wiimote to take a picture. Then go to the photo thing along the bottom of the screen and save it to the card. You can only take one picture at a time.
  • If I find out any more secrets, tips or hints I’ll post them here.
  • When you create a new character, you’ll be given the option to import your character from Animal Crossing: Wild World for DS. If you do this you’ll keep your characters catalog (except for fossils and those robots) but leave all your items and money in the DS. Importing a player from the DS just copies them onto the Wii, it doesn’t delete you Wild World character.
  • On the last day of a month, put all of your money into your account. The next day you will have gained intrest on it.
  • The best place to make money (at winter time) is fishing at the sea at night-time. Valuable fish like red snappers, football fish, lobsters and octopi can be caught there.
